| Spring League 2008 - Journey to the Disc! |
 SUC is proud to announce open registration for our 2008 Spring League. Last fall's league was fabulous by all accounts and we hope to build off that success to create a fun, engaging and constructive league this spring. The theme for the league is "Journey to the Disc" a play on the title of the beloved Chinese novel "Journey to the West." Four characters, four teams: Red: Monk Black: Pigsy Navy Blue: River Demon Yellow-White: Monkey King Join us in our journey to discover the mystery and the magic of the disc! Schedule: The format will be similar to last fall's league, with six weeks of pool play and one final tournament day with semis and finals. Feb 27 Wed: On-line registration at www.saigon-ultimate.com Mar 5 Wed: Draft by captains Mar 9 Sun: First game Mar 9 - Apr 13: Pool play (six weeks – play every team twice) Apr 20: Playoffs – semis and finals Fees: RMIT Students – VND150,000 Non-Students – VND350,000 This includes field rental for seven weeks, a jersey, and drinks/watermelon every week, as well as attractive prizes after it's all over. (For non-students the price is the same as if you were to come to frisbee every week for seven weeks.) The fees may go down pending corporate sponsorship. Special rules: We are going to experiment with some special rules to encourage more universal participation and skill development, including implementation of spirit rules like in the Hat. More details to follow. Registration: Please register online as soon as possible to ensure a place on a team for the first week of play.
